Butterfly gift envelope
Use this as inspiration for a gift card or transform it into a just because card....later, a sentiment can be added to fit the occasion.....

Hot glue Gun, Water Mister, Scissors, Ruler , Double sided Tape, Misti, Organza ribbon, White embossing powder, Versa-mark, Silver Wow glitter embossing powder, Forest moss, Broken China distress inks.

*The finished size of this card is  12cm x 15cm
*Taking the white card stock cut to 30cm x 15cm. (if you are using A4 card stock, you can cut it 15cm across x the length of the card stock)
*Make folds in the card at 6.5cm and 18.5cm. When folded, the 6.5cm fold will be your fold up to make the pocket for the gift voucher or gifting money. The remaining folds will form the card base and the front envelope flap.
*Taking an extra piece of white card stock, place the border die and cut to fit the card front flap. Adhere to the flap edge, trimming away any unwanted length.
*Find the pale blue paper from the Festive Holly collection and trim a little smaller to fit the inside and outside of the card except the back of the card. This is left blank. Adhere the papers in place. (you could use other paper collections for the  background as long as it will not take away from the embellishments)
*Make the flowers by using the stamps, dies and mold. The flowers are stamped with the glitter embossing powder and the leaves are stamped using the black archival ink. Bring color to all using the distress inks. Bring shape to all by using the mold and flower shaping tools.
*The white embossed butterfly has three layers. Two are made using the white card stock and the top layer is made using the vellum also white embossed. Only the bottom layer has the swirls, the swirls of the second and top layer are trimmed away. Curl the wings to give shape with your fingers and adhere with the hot glue gun at the body of the butterfly.
*Arrange and adhere the leaves and flowers along the die cut border line not forgetting to leave place for the ribbon closing and room for the butterfly embellishment. (ribbon length approx.  50-60cm) *Fill any empty spaces with extra leaves and flowers.
*To finish, tie the ribbon ends in a bow to close the card.

The finished card measures 17cm x 17cm.
Make a tent fold card base using the stamping card. Ink the front edges with the Damson Wine ink. Taking the stencil, Grasshopper ink and the inking tool, bring the ink on to a matting from a white card front measuring 15cm x 15cm. Also ink the edge with the Damson Wine. Adhere together with the 3D squares. Cut x2  rose frames using the Rose Easel die and x1 background. Trim away the lower rose cut. Bring colour to the frame outside, the roses and leaves. colour also the trimmed roses and leaves as this will be adhered under the bow later. Taking the stamp, rockers and versa-mark do all the stamping and embossing. Add the stickles to the 'SPARKLE' and the centre image at the very last as this needs to dry with out being touched. Adhere all the layers together to the card front using the 3D foam and double sided tape. Add the bow across the card front, tuck and adhere the rose cuts behind the bow using the hot glue gun. now you add the stickles then leave to dry.

The rose clusters are so pretty tucked under the bow...always a winner for finishing a card.

Well thats this weeks Crafters Companion posting...more to come next Monday,
till then have a inky scrappy week.

It's Crafters Companion Monday, bringing you more of the 'Enchanted Forest' collection

These cards are featuring the 'Fairy Dust' and the 'Fairyland' dies from the "enchanted Forest signature collection by Sara Davies

The use of the 'Mirror' card and the 'Glitter' card is such a wonderful effect.

The product used in both these card scan be found HERE and HERE and HERE

The mirror card is wonderful for the matting, it lets the the glitter card pop out to show off the wonderful fun die...the pretty organza ribbon bow gives it a nice finish with out taking the spotlight away from the dies.

....not to forget the adorable dandelion dies...the set has stamps to go with it.
These cards measure 13.5cm x13.5cm so they will fit into a post size envelope.
Scrappy happy inky love to you all...
