INSTRUCTIONS:

This card measures 8 1/2 inches by  6 1/4  inches when completed. Make a tent fold card to the measurements. Using the yellow card stock make a matting a little smaller than the card base. Adhere this to the card base with the double sided tape.

Find the sheet 5b in the paper collection and cut this also a little smaller than the yellow card stock matting. Distress the edges with the distressing tool. Adhere this layer to the card using the 3D double sided tape.Taking the yellow and the white card stock die cut the lace frames needed. Colour the lacey frames with the coffee and honey pot inks, using the foam inking tool. Adhere the yellow frame to the card using the double sided tape. Adhere both lacy frames to the card using the 3D foam tape.

To make the embellishments for this card:

Using the coffee ink and the flower shaping paper to stamp the sunflowers. Die cut these using the matching die then spray the petals with the glimmer mist. When nearly dry, bring shape to the petals with the flower shaping tools. Each flower has two petal layers except the very small ones, these remain a single layer. The centers are filled glue then with the micro beads, set aside to dry then tap off excess beads.

Using the coffee ink stamp the barn once, the wheat three times and the horses twice. Colour the images: the barn with the geranium ink, the horse with the coffee ink (you will need to colour the  horse and fowl and an extra fowl) and the wheat with the fern green ink. Cut four extra images from the cereal card board for the barn and horses to make chipboard. Once all the layers are adhered together, adhere the barn and horses to the card base. Fussy cut the extra foul away from the second horse and adhere to the foul on the card front. Apply the clear lacquer to the fowl.

Using the white card stock and the sentiment stamp, stamp with the coffee ink then with the versa-mark. Dip into the clear embossing powder then seal with the heat it tool. Use the matching die to die cut this. Apply a little honey pot ink to bring colour to the sentiment. Adhere to the front of the barn.

Adhere the sunflowers to the card in a cluster around the barn and horses. Adhere the wheat images as fillers in the sunflowers, trimming them as you go. Apply a little clear lacquer to the barn window hinges.

If you are into horses...this is for you.

Till next time...keep on keeping safe.

Inky hugs

INSTRUCTIONS: This Lay-out is 12” x 12”

Taking the pizza cardboard, cut this as a base for the lay-out. 12” x 12”.  Find the sheet 11b and sheet 2b in the paper collection. Trim the white strip off both papers and trim the sheet 2b so it will be 1/4 inch smaller than the sheet 11b. Cut sheet 11b at 7 1/2 inches so the flower pattern can be placed together as seen in the photo. Ink all the edges with the Vivid Chartreuse ink and foam inking tool. Adhere the sheet 11b to the pizza card base using double sided tape. Adhere the sheet 2b to this, using the double sided 3D foam tape, but leaving the edges so they can be curled and rolled up. (about 2 inches on both sides) You have now made your lay-out base.

To make the embellishments, stamp with the coffee ink, bring color to the stamped images then die cut all the images you need for the decorating. Here is the coloring list:

Chickens: Chinese Ink-2030, Mustard-1700, Stilton Yellow-0220, Chili Red-0500, Burnt Orange 0260, Sienna Gold-0240, Sepia Ink-2010.

Roaster: Felt Green-1530, Chili Red-0500, Sea Blue-1200 ,Chili Red-0500, Golden Yellow-0230.

Fence: Saddle Brown-1740, Felt Green-1530, Gold-0240, Chili Red-0500.

Goats: Antique White-2300, Willow-1900, Red Oxide-1910.

Barn: Chili Red-0500, Sea Blue-1200, Sienna Gold-0240.

Mice: Saddle Brown-1740, Carmine Pink-0520.

Using the dies to cut extra shapes from the cereal card board for the stamped images and adhere the layers together to make chipboard images. The flowers, sunflowers, wheat and two hay bales are not layered as these are used in the background of the lay-out.

Cut the photo so it will fit in the barn. The barn is used as a matting for the photo. Cut a few layers of pizza box to fit the photo. Adhere together then sand the edges of the photo. Adhere the photo to the barn then the barn to the lay-out base. Arrange the flowers and sunflowers and adhere across the lay-out. Arrange the rest of the chipboard images and adhere in place. Dot clear drying adhesive under and around the chickens for the seeds. Sprinkle the micro beads onto the adhesive and leave to dry. Shake the excess micro beads away into the trash bin or a jar for another project. To make the sentiment, stamp this with the coffee ink onto the white card stock then stamp with the versa-mark  using the misti stamping tool, sprinkle with the clear embossing powder and set with the heat it tool. Using the matching die, for the sentiment, die cut the sentiment. Use the vivid Chartreuse ink to bring color to the sentiment then bring another ink layer using the Honey pot ink. Adhere the sentiment to the lay-out using the 3D circle foam dots under the barn. To finish the project off, apply a little diamond stickles to the flowers and sunflower centers

I love this collection...it brings memories of when I was down on the farm....

Till next week, have some scrappy fun.

Inky hugs.

OTHER PRODUCTS USED:

and Gold, Card board (used cereal boxes

 INSTRUCTIONS:

Using the white card stock, make a tent fold card 6" x 6"  Finding the red design paper in the collection, 9b . Cut a matting a little smaller than the card front then adhere this to the card front using double sided 3D tape..

Find the design paper sheet 6a from the paper collection. Using the fussy cutting scissors, cut the printed half circle out from the paper. Cut a second matting from the same design paper also a little smaller than the first matting. Taking the sentiment stamp and the coffee ink, stamp the sentiment on the design paper and cut to size. Ink the edges of all three cut papers with the inking tool and the Vivid Chartreuse ink. Adhere the matting to the card front using 3D double sided foam tape. For the half circle and the sentiment, adhere to the matting of the card front using the 3D Double dots.

To make all the embellishments for this card, stamp with the coffee ink except the dog, this is done with the black ink. Two times the barn, three times the wheat, two times the sunflower, one chicken, one dog, one fence, two standing mice and three running mice.

Color the stamped images using the color pencils listed: Chili Red 0500 (the barn), Stilton Yellow 0220 (The chickens) Sienna Gold 0240 (The chicken), Saddle Brown 1740 (The fence and mouse), Felt Green 1530 (The grass in the fence , the wheat/grasses and the sunflower leaves), Cadmium Orange 0250 ( The hinges on the fence), Golden Yellow 0230 (The sunflowers), Carmine Pink 0520 (The face of the mouse and dog).

Die cut all the images. Using the used cereal boxes, die cut three to four extra images to make chipboard from some of the images. The dog, the fence, the mice and the chicken. The Barn is adhered together so you have color on both sides, adhere this together then die cut the window and the door then you see the color when the door and window is opened. Adhere all the elements in place as seen in the card photo.

The sunflowers are made by taking the white card stock and stamping enough for the one large, two smaller flowers and two very small flowers. Two stamping of the stamp should be enough. Die cut the petals then bring shape to them with the shaping tool kit. Adhere the layers for the sunflowers, one being smaller than the other. Apply the clear drying adhesive to the flower centers then sprinkle the micro beads to form the flower centers. When dry arrange and adhere in place, the three larger to the left and the two smallest to the sunflowers that are stamped.

Such a fun collection....reminds me of younger days when I lived on a farm for a while.
Don't you just love the chickens and the mice? All fun stuff. It was wonderful to use an old faithful stamp and die set....the sunflower was one of my first in the design team...now that is a blast from the past.....old but faithful and adorable.
Well....have lots of inky fun with this, till next time, keep safe and have scrappy fun.
Hugs to all.

Inks: Spectrum Noir Harmony inks- Chinese red, Orange, White organza ribbon, Fussy cutting scissors, Hot glue gun, White card stock, Double sided tape.

INSTRUCTIONS:

This tent fold card base measures 6 ¾” x 6 ¾” (17.1cm x 17.1cm) Make a tent fold card base by cutting 6 ¾” x 6 ¾” twice, make a ½” fold across the top of one edge using the scor-pal then apply the double sided tape to this. Adhere together to make the tent fold card base.

Find the design paper in the paper collection, sheet 5a. Cut this to fit the card front. Ink the edges using the Chinese red and the orange inks with the foam inking tool. When done adhere this to the card front.

Using the white card stock and the dies: Courtyard Elegance, the Elaborate Oval die, die cut these once each. Apply the Chinese Red and the Orange inks to the oval lace frame. Then apply the clear drying adhesive to both the oval and to the square frame using the hydra sponge. Sprinkle glitter on them and leave to dry. Once they are dry and excess glitter removed, adhere the square frame to the card front. Cut the oval frame in half and adhere to the top and bottom of the card front.

Make the sentiment by stamping the sentiment with the …..ink then die cut this and the background with the white card stock. Apply clear drying glue and glitter to the back ground when dry adhere together using the 3D circle foam dots. Adhere the sentiment in place.

To make the Zinnia flowers: Make one smaller flower and two larger flowers. Each flower has three layers of orange petals stamped from the sheet10b, the flower centers (x3-4 each flower) and leaves (x7) are stamped from sheet 8b, all found in the Summers Garden paper collection. The centers are made the same as the orange petals and the remaining 2-3 petals are cut away from the center and curled with the aid of the groove gulf tool by wrapping the petal around the tool at the pointed end. Each curled petal is adhered to the flower center using the hot glue gun.

When the flowers are made adhere to the card front on the left and under the sentiment in a cluster. Make a triple bow from the organza ribbon and adhere in place with the hot glue gun. Add the leaves under the flowers and the lady birds that are colored with the Chinese Red ink and shaped using the Summers Garden 3D shaping molds. Apply the 3D crystal Lacquer to the ladybirds and to the circle in the sentiment.

I hope you had fun visiting this place...till next time, inky scrappy days.
