OTHER PRODUCTS USED: Colouring: Glimmer Mist- Olive Vine, Marigold, Mel’s Dinner, Cranberry Zing. Stamping Up water colour pencils- Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green, Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive. Other- Water colour/paint palette (to use with the inks) or small china saucer’s. Double sided tape, Versa-mark, Hot glue Gun, Fussy cutting scissors, Glitter, Water spritzer, Ruler, 12 ” x 12 ” Grey board (back of a unused pizza box), Brads x 2, Older brush-fine (to apply adhesive to work), Sanding tool.

INSTRUCTIONS: This project is a 12 “ x 12 “ Lay Out. Taking the grey board or the back of a pizza box, cut this to 12 “ x 12 “. Find both sheets needed from the paper pad, number 12B. Cut the papers so the print will be in the centre of the LO. Adhere to the grey board with the double sided tape. Three photos are used for this LO. Trim photos as needed and mount them onto grey board. Taking the sanding tool, sand the photo edges so they have a white edge. Add a smaller strip of grey board or 3D foam dots to the back of the photo so they will be raised from the LO base when adhered in place. Arrange the photos then adhere to the LO base. This LO uses 3 bird house’s, 3 birds, 7 clematis leaves, 4 large clematis petals , 3 med clematis petals, 7 small clematis petals and 2 sentiment plates from the white card stock plus 1 from the paper pad.The birdhouses are coloured with the SUP water colour pencils. The clematis petals, leaves and birds are coloured using the glimmer mists. To use the glimmer mists, spray what is needed for each colour to the colour palettes . ( you can also use a plastic sheet or small china/plastic cups) Leave a while for the inks to dry then apply water just as you would using water colour paints. Why glimmer mist? When it dry’s the colour becomes more intense and the micro shimmer shows even more.

The clematis flowers are made by stamping with the white embossing powder on vellum. Colour the vellum using the Cranberry Zing glimmer mist. When die cut, use the gulf tools or the deluxe shaping tools to shape the petals. Apply clear drying adhesive to the flower centres then sprinkle the prills over them using the  tray to catch all the excess beads.

When all the embellishments are made and dry, arrange around the photos as seen in the LO. Trim away the flowers from the birdhouse embellishment when needed so it will fit snugly to the photo. Use the off cuts to further decorate around the photos. Adhere the flowers and leaves around the photos. Make the sentiment plate by die cutting the print from the paper sheet and 2 extra from the card stock. Adhere together her then stamp the sentiment using the sepia ink. Add the brads to the wholes then adhere to the lay out. Adhere the flowers and birds in place. Use a hydra sponge or a paint brush to bring the clear drying adhesive to the flowers and birds. While the adhesive is still wet sprinkle the glitter over the adhesive. When dry tap off any excess glitter.

These climbing Clematises are such fun. The vellum makes them even more adorable.

Till next time, have a happy scrappy inky week.
