Other Products: Card Stock: White, Green. Ranger: Embossing powder Frayed Burlap, Inks; Black Soot, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint. Distress ink tool Stickles Star Dust. Heat gun. Water Mister. Derwent Ink-Tense pencils: Charcoal Grey 2100, Sun Yellow 0200, Sea Blue 1200, Tangarine 0300, Teal Green 1300, Iris Blue 0900. Other: Sukura: Gelly-Roll white pen. Embossing powder: white, gold. Gold yellow wired ribbon, Orange glass seed beads. Fussy cutting scissors.

Instructions: This project is a 30 cm x 30 cm layout. The photo size used: 8.5 cm x 12 cm. From the Peacock Paisley Paper Collection take the Lay Out paper with the printed Peacock on the left side, this will be used for your Lay Out base. With a pencil, starting from the blue line of the frame, 4 cm down make a 18 cm circle in the center of the page. This will be your guideline for the placement of the paper lace.

Take from the Paper Collection, 2 x yellow papers with the white swirl on the left side, use one of these papers to cut a 20 cm circle. *Keep all off cuts* Ink edges of this circle with a ink tool and Black Soot ink, when dry do the same with the Spiced Marmalade ink. With the remaining yellow paper cut 8 lace strips at 8cm wide using the Decorative Lace Border Die. You will get 2 out of the length and 4 across. Join the lace pieces together to form a long lace strip, trim as needed. Wet this with the water mister, when almost dry, pleat the paper edge so it will look like gathered lace. When dry, join ends to form a circle. Ink the points with Black Soot ink and the ink tool. Pull gently to stretch the lace to fit the 18 cm circle line on the Lay Out base paper. Apply wet glue to the inside of the line in sections. Slide to align and hold down till the section is attached, repeat till all the lace is fastened.

With the kept paper off cuts, stamp and gold emboss, 16 x flower heads from the Daisy Flourish Cling Stamp Set. Fussy cut all 16. Adhere these evenly around the circle on top of the paper lace edge. Cut 2 x from the cardboard, a circle no bigger than 16 cm. Glue these on top of each other, this will give you a height of 4 mm, depending on the thickness of your cardboard. Adhere this to the center of your circle with wet glue so you can slide it into place. Adhere the yellow circle, making sure the white swirl print is on the left side. There should be enough of the yellow paper left over to stamp 2 x the flower swirl with white embossing powder from the Daisy Flourish Cling Stamp Set

For the Peacock, use the PEACOCK SWIRLS stamp set. Stamp using gold embossing powder. Give the peacock color by using the Derwent pencils. Use the white gelly pen for the coloring of the daisies. Fussy cut all 3 stamped images.

Take the green card stock, stamp set Delightful Daisies stamp and emboss with frayed Burlap embossing powder. Using the matching die set Delightful Daisies Die cut 3 x large leaves and 5 small leaves. Give extra color to the leaves by applying the watercolor pencil: Teal green, gesso on to the points then a few dabs of Peeled Paint ink. For the flowers: Take the white card stock, stamp, white emboss and die cut using Delightful Daisies sets. Apply color to the flowers by adding yellow to the centers and orange to the petals. The orange is applied when the flowers are made. (Sun Yellow 0200) (Spiced Marmalade Ink) Shape the petals with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Stack the flowers. Apply a little glue to the flower center then sprinkle a few seed beads, when the glue is dry, to the top add a layer of stickles.

Don't you just love this collection! Fantastic colors. I have inside info...(this collection is selling out all over the place...so get in while you still can. Then you won't have to wait....most of us have a problem with waiting for our craft toys...you too?...LOL)

Do the same for the flowers on the Peacock. Make a double halve bow with the wired yellow ribbon. For the photo preparation: Cut 2 x the cardboard to size so the photo will be at least 1 cm larger on each side. Adhere to the photo.

Apply gold embossing powder to the edges of the photo; Carefully use the heat gun, be careful not to hold the heat gun too long in the same place as the photo will crack. Apply the heat in spurts. Adhere the photo to the center of the circle. Arrange the swirls, flowers and leaves as seen in the Lay Out photo. Adding cardboard or double dots to give height.

Tucking behind frames and flowers to give layers and depth to your work. To finish, add a little gesso to the edges of the lace, stickles to the gold embossed flower heads and printed white flower centers on the page background.

I hope you now feel inspired to try something you have seen today. Feel free to visit any time. I would love to get some feed back about what you find here.
Going back into my cave now to get some more eye candy ready for next week...all going well....may be a double post...something special....I think so any way.
You all have a great creative scrappy inky week, till next time.

Instructions: The finished card size is 21 cm x 14.8 cm. Take one of the A4 Naturals-white and fold this in half. Using the bone folder sharpen the fold. This will be your card base. Find the paper in the HCDP1-252 Peacock Paisley Paper Collection with the green background and feather print on it, cut from this paper the matting, 20.8 cm x 14.4 cm. From the same printed-paper, on the reverse side find and cut out the sentiment "Special Wishes". Use the paper-distressing tool to ravel and fray the edges of both cut papers. Apply Double Dots to the back of the sentiment and put aside till later.

Adhere the matting to the card base with double-sided tape. Cut from the remaining A4 card, 13.5 cm x 19.8 cm. This will be your card front. The stamping method: Use the pen makers, water mister, HCPC3659 Peacock Paisley Cling Stamp Set and Stamp Positioner Kit. To stamp the image on the card front and to get the watercolor effect, apply color to the stamp using the markers, then spray stamp generously with the water mister. Stamp image onto the paper, use the Stamp Positioner Kit to get the right alignment, repeat again in mirror image. This will give you your watercolor background.

Stamp again, a little shy of the image, this time using the gold embossing powder. Stamping a little shy will give you full exposure of the background color. When the stamping is done, ravel and fray the edges with the distressing tool. Adhere the card front to the matting paper. With the remaining A4 card and HCPC3660 Peacock Swirls Cling Stamp Set the Peacock with the gold embossing powder. Color this image in with the makers and water brush. Adhere the Peacock to the center of the background stamping.

Make the flowers with the HCPC 3656 Delightful Daisies Cling Stamp Set and matching HCD1-760 Delightful Daisy Die. 1st embossing with gold on to the vellum paper, die cut, then color from the back side of the embossed vellum flowers with the maker pens. To create height in the flowers, cut into the flower from the side of a petal to the flower center. From this cut, glue one petal on top of another. This will give the flower a haul shape. Adhere the bling dots to the flower centers. Place and adhere the completed flowers under and to the side of the Peacock.

Place a few bling dots next to some of the flowers. Add the sentiment to the bottom left of the birds tail. To finish, apply stickles to the flower centers and bling dots.

Heartfelt Creations Products and Products Sold on our Website:

Other Products: Black Steymans, Masks: Magneta Tm 28, The crafters worshop TCW 2075, White cardstock, Gold embossing powder, Claudine Hellmuth Studio: Black gesso, Molding paste, Viva kristall gell 001, Versa mark, Bead mix, Old credit card, Gold thread and needle, Pan Pastels black

Instructions: This project is a 30 cm x 30 cm Layout, the photo size used 11 cm x 7.8 cm. From the Paper Collection, you will need the following papers: Paisely print, Feather print, Iron print. Starting with the Iron print cut 3 banner flags at 17 cm x 3.2 cm, 17 cm x 2 cm, 17 cm x 1 cm. Cut all ends in a V shape. Stamp using gold embossing powder the strips with Iron lace images found in All Seasons Gazebo and Summer Season stamp sets. Gold emboss also the edges by applying the Versamark along the edges, running the edges through the powder then setting with the heat gun. Repeat if needed. Cut these banners in 1/2. Put aside.

For the photo matting the feathered print is used. Cut this to 10 cm x 15 cm. Use the same method as above to get the gold edging. For the Layout back ground the Paisley print is used.

To start, using the black gesso and a old credit card, apply the gesso in small amounts, adding more as needed. Starting from the center and work out to the left and right side. Leave to air dry.
Using the butterfly mask, apply the gesso and glitter medium along the right edge and bottom left edge of the layout.

To make the gold and masked background: Take the branch mask and glitter medium, apply this to the right top and left bottom of the photo matting placement. Take the Iron lace stamps and gold embossing powder, stamp the image in the length. Not too fussy as some will be covered later. The flower bud and leave image is from the Feathered Daisy Cling Stamp Set. Apply a little Versamark to some of the tops of the butterflies, sprinkle embossing powder then seal with the heat gun. Adhere the banner flags in their place. With gold thread, back stitch the lines.

Make a mix of beads and medium, apply to the Layout page. Back the matting paper with cardboard. Cut the cardboard at least 2 cm smaller than the photo. Using 2 layers of cardboard, do the same for the photo. Adhere all together to the Layout.

For the leaves and flowers: The leaves are gold embossed on Vellum Paper using the Delightful Daises Cling Stamp Set and the matching die Delightful Daises 4 x smaller size. The flowers are made using the images found in the same die and stamp set. Stamp embossed with bridal glitter 4 x. Shape the flowers useing the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Apply black Pan Pastel to the center of the flower. Adhere the two sizes together. Prick a whole in the center for the steymans. Fold the steyman in 1/2 and thread it through the whole. Apply glue to hold it in place.

Adhere in clusters on the photo corners. Tuck the leaves behind the flowers. To finish add the sentiment, you will find this in the paper pad. Use the matching die set to make a perfect die cut.

"Kindness" Card

Hi!

It's Wednesday again. Today it's another Heartfelt Creations card.
Three beauties in a row.
Read on and find out how you can put it all together your self.
Have fun.

Heartfelt Creations Products and Products Sold On Our Website:

Other Products: Paper: SUP Naturals white A4 card (x 3). Ink: SUP: Perfect plum, Pumpkin pie. Ranger distress ink black soot. Ranger: ink tool, distressing tool, water spritzer, bone folder, heat gun. Spellbinders: Fancy tags two S5-030, Fancy tags three S5- 031. Other: Versa mark pad, Needle and gold thread, Wow embossing powder black glint, Viva décor Inka-Gold 918, Diamond stickles, Ruler, Double sided tape, Pencil, Spatula

This card size is 21.1 cm x 14.8 cm. To make your card base: with one of the A4 cards, fold this in ½. Use the bone folder to sharpen the fold. Using the remaining A4 cards and the spellbinder dies cut the tags. 3 for the oval shape, 6 for the longer shape. (Glue 3 together for each tag)

For the card front, cut 20.9 cm x 13.6 cm. Put aside the remaining card, this will be used to make the butterflies later. From the paper pad, find the checked paper. Cut 2 strips 2.5 cm x the length of this paper; this will be for your pleated paper ribbon. Cut 21.5 cm x 14.2 cm. of the same paper; this will be your matting. Find also from the paper pad a background print with the “Kindness” banner, cut this out (These banner prints are great for simple sentiments for cards.)

To make the paper ribbon: attach both strips together in the length. Ravel and fry the both edges in the length, do this with the distressing tool, then box pleat the strip of paper. Lay the pleated paper across your card front to measure how much you will need. You need to do this now, as when the paper is stitched you can’t cut it smaller. The stitching will unravel. Once you have the correct length, fold the edges to neaten and cut away any excess paper. With the prick tool and ruler, make the wholes for the backstitching. The ruler will hold the pleats flat, also giving you a guide to make the wholes. Backstitch the pleats down with gold thread. Apply double sided tape to the back of the pleated strip ready to attach later. With the water spritzer, lightly mist the paper strip. Using the end of the pencil and your fingers shape the pleats so they are rounded. (Look to the photo of the card to see the finished result.) Put aside to air dry. When this is dry, it will be hard and hold its shape quite well.

To make the butterflies, you will need the remaining card, the HCPC 3652, HCD1 758 stamp and dies. For the stamping, use the versa mark pad; black glint embossing powder and the heat gun. Make two of the smaller butterflies and one of the longer butterflies. Color the butterflies with the SUP inks.

Taking the matting paper, ravel and fray the edges with the distressing tool. Apply black soot ink with the ink tool, to the edges of the; card base, card front, matting paper, the three tags. To apply the Viva gold to your edges; use the spatula to take a little out of the jar and place this onto a piece of paper/ plastic sheet or a old plate. From this source apply this to the edges of the papers, card, paper ribbon, butterflies and the tag embossed edges generously. If you use your fingers in the jar, this will cause mold in the product.

The layering of the card as follows; Attach the matting with double dots to the card base, the same with the card front. Tape down the paper ribbon across the center of the card front. Where the tags are to be placed, flatten the ribbon underneath the tags. Using double dots attach the tags in a row. Fold the butterfly wings up from the body. Cut the double dots to size, so it will fit to the body of the butterfly without it being seen. Center and adhere the butterflies to the tags. Apply Stickles to highlight parts of the wings, feelers and body.
To finish, add the sentiment banner “Kindness” to the bottom center of the card.

I hope you had fun learning how to make those fun chipboards and the paper pleated ribbon.
The ribbon can be used in so many ways,
LO's, journals and of course it can give a card that special personal zig, zap.

You all have a scrappy time and get those fingers ink'in
Inky hugs to you all.
Sussipoppins.
