I MADE CARDS

Getting into the cards.... seriously!
hahaha...laugh not too hard....first take a look at my effort. Still trying, and a lot different from doing a LO.
Not as much room!

The above card is my Fav. Love these birds and frames from Joy. Balled and misted for that vintage distressed look. Love it! Flowers from Nelly S. punches to be found in Holland.

Something a bit different, but simple...I have found with card making for me any way....
"less is more"....
The back ground and swirls are made with the help of those wonderful Cherry Lynn Dies. Just love them, like all my other dies....can we ever get enough of them,........
NO!
Flowers are the left overs from the last posted LO.
All is finished with the Glimmer Mists...can't not use my most fav. colour "Olive Vine"

Letting you in on a secret.....
I am having this great big giant love affair over here in Australia.......
while the cat is away the mice will play......

It is to do with paper and ink and all things yummy! (as always).....
(what is she up to now??????)
It's called "Stamp'in Up"
We all know it is hitting Holland 8th October..... that's old news.....I just wanted to do a lot of home work to see if it was for me or if, "Stamp"in Up" fits into my life plan. Well it does! And I sure will be signing the dotted line when I get back from this wonderful gallivanting around the other side of the world....
........having so much fun and all that..So watch out for further posts......

I was invited to give a WS here in Cairns,  the Table Lands, at a Stampin Up retreat, given through Shannean Moncrief, the Stampin Up guru here in Cairns.
What a success it was,
I have never had so much crazy fun, made 31 card front swaps, met so many wonderful ladies and gentleman...yes there was one from MARS there! I might add, I was very impressed with his work.
I can be saying with out a lie.I had only 3 hours +- sleep from Friday am till Sunday night.
I was wearing dark glasses all day Sunday to hide all the eye make up that made it's way down the face...I am talking about those dark rings that are in the wrong place.Who cares when we can scrap till we drop, ....literally!
Not enough time to sleep. Scrap book challenges.
She was a tough one! No flowers allowed! It's called tough love over here..you know the sort of love you use with your kids.. Goes with out saying, there was also, card making challenges through the weekend.I sure learn't lot's,last weekend.
My WS was working with the "Stampin Up" product. Just love'n what the paper does for my flowers.
Therefor I shall have to take photo's and up load them for you....just let me catch up on some shut eye first.
Sorry, you will have to wait a few days for that.
So until then keep on scrapp'n, create'n and have'n fun.

Scrappy hugs and love SussiP oxo

GIRLZ DAY

Another LO of the Scrap-delight design team...thus named "DT Girlz Day"

Sorry, Iam doing this on the i- pad again. Can't get to work it like the laptop. Same excuse of not having my product list with me....can not think of every thing when I get to go to the other side of the world to see my sisters! Sorry.

The background was made with the large...giant weapan of a punch from We R Memory Keepers "Lucky 8 Punch: Classic Wreath".

Circle, from the Dusty Attic large clock, stsitched with gold thread.

Most of the punches used are from EK.

Gold pearl drops made with the Paper Pen from Viva.

Flowers - made from the Tatterd Flowers die from Tim Holtz. Sprayed, moulded with the fingers, gessoed then something new for me - the edges touched up with a pearl pen - pearly brown/pink color.
I used Dusty Attic blooms as well, sprayed and inked to get the color to match. Same with the leaves.

Twigs are made with the Memory Box dies.Very fine, just love this product!

The girl cameo is from Dusty Attic. Painted white the Crackle Paint Clear Candy from Ranger. Add a little vintage ink so the crackles will pop.

The paper ribbon across the page is cut then embossed with the folders from Tim Holtz.

The tittle is, as always, or a lot.....cut x 6 stacked, glued then glossy.....yes making my own chippies is working for me. Touched up with Glimmer Mist using the paint brush and gesso to give it the finsh I wanted.

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

I only appolagise for my not normal posting. You will have to wait to see photo's of my stay here untill I can upload them.

scrappy hugs,
Susan xoxo

This Woman

Hi there every one. This is being posted while I am killing time at Hong Kong airport... 12 hours can sure be a long time!

So you will have to bear with me as I do not have my note book with all the toys I used to create this.....just using the grey matter... here it goes...

The paper used here, is  from an old Basic Grey paper line...Scarlets letters,.....and yes it is an older line, but still a fav from most scrappers.

The lettering is made from Quickutz dies. Yes I layerd them.....6 times... yes it is a pain to layer them, but as you can see it is well worth doing. Finish it with glossy from Ranger.

Flowers, I , of course made my self from tissue paper, useing the tatterd flower die from Tim Holtz.

The black twig with leaves and grapes, is brought out through Prima Marketing. If you look close enough you will see I have added a few leaf chips from Dusty Attic.....sorry I haven't got the # and name with me. Of course finished with gesso then painted with glimmer mist.

The wings are from one of Tim Holtz embossing folders.

The edges are punched with the help of Martha Stewarts toys....a true classic and a worth while investment......but what isn't......

Sorry got to keep it short, running out of battery. I was clever enough to pack the reserve and the addapter.....but it's in the suit case that was booked strait through......which all well and good is now in Carins with all my other goodies I could not do without!

So as they say catch you later, and as I say have a scrappy one.
Susan. Oxoxo.

PN. This is done on the iPad....so please make allowances for me.
