A show and tell of the three darlings

Arn't these so cute!

Instructions:
This triple fold card with ribbon bow, measures 15 cm x 18 cm x 2 cm (6" x 7" x 3/4" )completed. NOTE: The fussy cut daisies are all shaped with the flower shaping tool kit before adhering in place. Start by making the card base with the cardstock. Cut 15 cm x 15 cm. Cut 15 cm x 16.5 cm, make folds at 15 cm and 15.5 cm. Cut 15 cm x 17 cm, make folds at 15 cm and 16 cm. (Cut 6 x 6". Cut 6 x 6.5", make folds at 6 and 6 1/8". Cut 6" x 6 11/16", make folds at 6 and 6 1/4".)  Join all three card cuts together to form the triple fold card base. To decorate the card base, take the design paper with the print of the darlings and flowers all over the page, you will need one. This will be used for the matting. Find also the design paper with the darlings printed with the lace border pattern, you will need two of these pages. This will be for the card backgrounds. Cut the four matting papers to 14.5 cm x 14.5 cm. (5 3/4 x 5 3/4") Taking the die for the darlings, use them to cut all the full darling images from the matting papers making sure you have at least 2.5 cm (1")uncut paper around the edges. ( Like a frame ) Don’t panic, you will not see the holes once the card is put together. ( Saving paper ) Taking the inking tool and the gathered twigs ink, ink all the edges of the papers. From the paper with the darlings and lace border pattern cut four times 13 cm x 13 cm. (5 1/8 x 5 1/8"). NOTE: cut so the lace boarders will show and you have the darlings in the right places when glued in place. Ink all the edges of these papers also. Using the paper-distressing tool, ravel all the edges of the prepared papers. Adhere the layers across the inside of the card base. Note: The center section has the darling sitting on the tree stump in the center of the card. To decorate this section, take two darling images sitting on the tree stump, cut away and discard the wings on one. Adhere with 3d foam tape in layers to match the image on the paper. Add fussy cut daisies to the foot of the stump. Die cut two “hello “ words from white cardstock. Adhere one above the lace print of this page and one to the card front. Stardust stickles is applied to this word later.  The remaining papers use to decorate the card front. ( If you look very closely you will see a join in the background paper. This is so I could get the darlings in the right place. Because a flower and the title are placed over most of the join, it is not so noticeable. ) Adhere the darlings with the 3d foam tape. For the darling sitting on the tree stump, trim the stump a little so you can tuck her in behind the darling in the grass. Add a few of the flowers on the stem and fussy cut daisies for interest. For the sentiment page, find the blue background design paper. Cut this to 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm. (5 5/16 x 5 5/16") Ink and distress the edges. Stamp the sentiment “ Save the Date ” at the bottom of the paper. Adhere in place to the card base. From the off cuts find a paper with the flowers on the side. Cut this to 9.2 cm x 3.5 cm (3 5/8 x 1.6/16"), ink the edges then stamp the sentiment “ You’re invited ” to the right of the printed flowers.  Adhere this sentiment with the 3d foam tape to the top right of the background paper. Using the 3d tape, adhere the two darlings in place. Add a few fussy cut daisies to the foot of the tree stump.  Add stickles to the flower centers and the stardust color to the darlings wings. Put aside to dry. To finish the card, take the ribbon, fold in half and wrap around the card so the bow will show on the outside side. Tie a double bow.

The above is my fav photo with the daisies surrounding the tree stump.
This is such a darling collection with all the house, windows, doors and all the flowers...your own imagination is the limit. ( not used today but last few postings and the next to come)
A sneaky for next week...

Using the Lilac card stock die cut the purse base. Ink the edges of the purse with the Dusty concord distress ink.. Adhere only the purse bottom base together at this stage.  I used double sided tape and wet glue to make this strong. Taking the design paper pad, find the pink toned paper with the shutter, tree and flower print, die cut the lace backgrounds using both the dies from the Rain drops on roses die set. Ink the edges of these die cuts with the dusty concord ink. Lay the purse flat to adhere a lace background on each side of the purse. Stamp, color, then die cut all the images for this project. ( Make sure you have more than enough of the images, there are a lot of layers used. ) For the purse front, adhere the grass to the purse, trimming as you go, making lots of layers. Using two darling images adhere to the foot of the purse with 3d tape. Arrange and tuck the stemmed flowers and leaves at both sides of the purse. Do the same for the back of the purse. The darling has two wing layers. Cut the wings away from the darling image and adhere to the back of the full image. Once all is dry and secure, complete the construction of the purse. Apply a small dot or square Velcro to fasten the purse closure. Add a large leaf cluster and a shaped single flower to one side of the closure. Apply clear drying glue to the foot of both sides of the purse then sprinkle go man go prills on the glue line. Do the same on the darlings dandelion, using the silver lining color for this. To finish, apply star dust and orange peel stickles to the flower centers and grass flowers. Star dust stickles to the wings and toadstool spots.

Aren't these toadstools cute!...love the stickles on the spots...and what about those wings....all surgery and glittery...made for anyone that is addicted to bling and glitter.

Here's a close up of the darling in the grass

Details of the wild grass placements. Stamp, die cut and colour more than you need, then you can trim them to add lots and lots of layers to the work.

Here you see the colouring, these flowers are so cute. A delight to work with. One can never have enough flowers for projects....You also see the edges are inked, this gives a nice finish for a block coloured card stock.

This sure is a fun collection. Last week the cottage, this week a purse. This purse makes a wonderful gift packaging...sure will make any little sweet heart jump with joy and glee.

Next week more of this collection...till then,
scrappy inky hugs from me...xoxxo

Instructions:
The finished size of this slider card is 17. 5 cm x 21 cm. NOTE: All the stamping is done on the aquarelle paper and with the black archival ink. All the measurements are converted to inches for this card HERE
TO MAKE THE ‘Z’ SLIDER CARD FROM A4 cardstock. This Z slider card fits into an envelope that measures 22 cm x 21 cm when completed. To make the card base: Taking the A4 cardstock, score at 6 cm and at 12 cm along the long edge. Fold this into valley and hill folds. This will form the card front foot (6 cm x 20.8 cm) and card front background (17.7 cm x 20.8 cm). For the slider, cut 11.5 cm x 7 cm. For the card front, cut 14 cm x 17 cm. All the matting layers will be cut at 2 mm smaller each side. For the card slider guide, cut from the card stock a band measuring13.5 cm x 7 cm. Cut a half circle into one of the 13.5 cm edge. This will be the top edge so you can slide the slider easily into the guide when the card is finished. Adhere in place to the back of the card front. Adhere the slider to the top center of the card background. Adhere the card front to the center of the card foot. Slide the slider in to place. Make and adhere all the embellishments to the card front. When adding the slider decoration, make sure the slider still slides before securing with glue. Follow the instructions below on how to decorate this card. Find from the paper pad the design paper needed and cut to fit the slider card panels. Cut first the card front, as you will be a little short to cover the total back card panel. This does not matter, as you will not see this when the card is completed. Now cut the card foot and slider from the remaining paper. Ink the edges with the faded jeans ink then distress the edges with the distressing tool. Adhere in place. Taking the crème card stock die cut the house and roof three times each. Emboss the house with the embossing folder; first apply the gathered twigs to one side of the folder before running it through the machine. This will give you the brick print in the embossing. Apply the gathered twig ink to the roof and all sides of the house. Stamp all the images needed for this card, make lots of them, as there are many layers. With the pencils bring color to the image out lines then with the brush then water drag the color. This is the method I used to do the coloring for this card. Once you have brought color and die cut the images, shape them with the flower shaping tool kit. The windows and door are adhered with the double-sided foam tape and clear drying glue. The rest of the images are adhered with glue and double sided foam tape where needed. When all is secure and dry, apply the stickles to the flower centers, windows, door, toadstool and any where else you think it needs it to give a sparkly bling feel to the card.

Other Products Used:
Card Stock: A4 Crafters Companion White-hint of gold 300gm
Ranger: Stardust stickles, Glossy accents, Inking foam tool. Bone folder, Scissors, Distress Inks: Forest moss, Tea dye. Other: Fussy Cutting Scissors, Double sided Tape, Double Sided Foam Tape, Scoreboard

Instructions:  Note: I have converted the " measurements for you, they are in the brackets.
This Z slider card fits into an envelope that measures 22 cm x 21 cm (8.10" x 8.5")when completed.
The card size is, 17.5 cm x 20.8 cm (6.15" x 8.4")
To make the card base:
Taking the A4 cardstock and score at 6 cm (2.6") and at 12 cm (4.12") along the long edge. Fold into valley and hill folds. This will form the card front foot 6 cm x 20.8 cm (2.6" x 8.4") cm and card front background 17.7 cm x 20.8 cm (7" x 8.4"). For the slider, cut 10.5 cm (4.3") height x 12.1 cm (4.13") width. (12.1 cm is the edge that is later glued to the top of the card) For the card front cut 16.5 cm (6.8") height x 20.8 cm (8.4") width. All the matting layers will be cut at 2 mm smaller each side. Cut 6.5 cm (2.11") height x 17 cm (6.12") width for the slider guide. Taking the forest moss ink, ink the card background, slider and card foot of the card base.  Adhere the slider to the top of the card background base. Adhere the slider guide to the back of the card front base so the slider will slide when all is put together.

Taking the design paper, fussy cut the tree leaves. Measure and cut the top left of the paper to fit the card front. You will be missing the right corner due to the fussy cutting. This will be covered so you will not see this once the card is finished. Fussy cut the remaining image. Ink the edges of the fussy cuts with the forest moss ink. Adhere the design paper cuts to the card front base using glue and tape. Use the 3d foam tape / foam squares to give the height needed. Apply the tea dye ink to the background around the Deer and between the trees as needed.

From the remaining fussy cut piece with leaves and roses on it, ink the edges and adhere to the top of the slider.

Apply the glossy accents / crystal lacquer to the Deer and small flowers in the tree leaves on the card front.

To finish, add stickles to the flowers along the foot of the card and to the roses.

I hope you had fun with this card. No stamping or die cutting today....one for the books!
