Happy Heartfelt Creations' Wednesday!

The day has finally come! It is Wednesday and it is time for my very first post as a design team member for Heartfelt Creations! And the best news is that from now on, for a whole year, every Wednesday I'll be sharing a new creation completely made with the newest HC stamps and dies!

So, back to today's post - "SUNSHINE" layout:

Heartfelt Creations Products and Products Carried by HC:

Other products used: Ribbon with wired edges, Ribbon with satin edges, Stickles Gold red, Glossy Glaze, Double sided foam tape; Clear drying glue; Needle and gold thread; Black ink; cardstock - soft yellow

Instructions: Take a 12 x 12" soft yellow cardstock and use it as a base for the layout. Take the denim colored pre-designed background paper from the paper pad, ruffle the edges and glue it to the cardstock, but don't attach the side with the buttons.

From the yellow cardstock, cut 2 x 12" stripes using HCD713 Decorative Lace Border Die. Join them together and cut out some of the lacey design - see the layout as to what should be left over. Spray the paper lace with a water mister to soften the paper. When nearly dry, pleat to form a gathered lace effect.

Cut out the two picture frames, the cluster of flowers and leaves from the pattern paper. Leaving the under two leaves and small drooping flower still in the paper print. Where the sunflowers and leaves have been cut out, apply black ink on the edges into the card stock area. This is so it will be dark under the flowers when glued down and the card stock will not show through.

Then cut out the sunflower from the middle of cluster, so you will have three flowers and cut out the same middle flower from the same pattern paper, also fussy cut three buttons, four small sunflowers and two leaves. Cut from chipboard backing for both frames, layer it to get the height you want and then add the pictures. Before gluing the photos, distress their edges and prick holes along the edge (0.5 cm away from edge) for the back stitching with gold thread.

Back the photos with foam tape or chip board, same as the frames. Cut the printed word SUNSHINE from the paper pad papers. Ink edges with black ink.

Attach the two layers of ribbon across the page. Ball the three cut buttons and attach with double sided foam tape over the buttons on the paper. Glue the frames and photos in their places. Ball the edges of all flowers and leaves, the apply double sided foam tape to the back of them. Glue them down in their correct places.

The stacked main flower, is placed on top of the ribbon. Flowers and leaves are tucked under the sides of the frames. See photo. Make a large bow, then glue this down. Place the SUNSHINE word above the bow. Apply glossy medium to the word plate, iron swirls on the frames, the green swirls and vines around the flowers.

Add stickles to the buttons, lace edges and Sunflower centers. When dry, work the wire on the bow so the bow is nice and full.
