Heartfelt Creations Wednesaday

It is Wednesday again and it is time to share some Heartfelt Creations creativity with you! This week I altered a small note book using the wonderful stamps and dies from HC - the perfect addition to any crafter's bag!

Products used, which you can find in Heartfelt Creations online store:

Other Products: Stamping paper white, Note book with elastic closure, Brads black, Deco Sand black, Ribbon gold, Fine black permanent marker, Florists wire, Glass Beads: yellow orange clear; Tools: Heat Gun, Spatula, Tweezers, Paint brush; Mediums: Viva Modelling cream Gold 908, Viva Crackle color 901 iridescent 905 brown, Stickles star dust, Studio multi-medium matte, Embossing powder gold, Distress Powder Frayed Burlap, Perfect Medium stamp pad; Ink: Color Box black, SUP Pumpkin pie, Hello honey, Daffodil delight; Masks: Crafters workshop TCW4379 TCW4545, Magenta TM28, Tim Holtz eye chart THS01.

Instructions: Take a 9.5cm x 13.8cm notebook with elastic closure. Cut the design you like from the HC Classic Sunflower Paper Pad. The piece should cover the book completely. Ink the edges to give it an aged look. Stamp and heat emboss with gold embossing powder the swirl motive from HCPC 3628 Sunflower Bouquet PreCut Set on the book front. Apply the clear gel medium to the cover with the paint brush. This will seal the paper and it will give it extra texture.

Using different masks, crackle paint and a spatula add another layer to your background. Take into account the placement, so you will still see it when the flowers and embellishments have been added and glued. Make a mixture of glass beads and a generous amount of clear gel medium. Apply this to the cover with the spatula. You will not see the clear gel medium when it is dry. Look to the photo of the book, for indication as to where the mediums have been applied. To highlight the butterflies, outline them with a black marker.

Stamp and die cut the sunflowers using HCPC 3626 Classic Sunflower PreCut Set and HCD 753 Classic Sunflower die. You can find the instructions on how to make the flowers HERE. For the flower centres: apply clear drying glue to the centre of the flower, spoon black decorating sand on top of it, press the sand down gently with your fingers and tap away excess sand when dry.

Stamp and die cut the daisy flowers using HCPC 3318 Daisy Patch Flowers PreCut Set and HCD 703 Daisy Patch Die. Shape them using the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and the Paper Blossoms Molding Mat, and add a brad to the centre.

To make the half-bow fold 10 cm ribbon with wire ends in two and then fold a 7 cm long one on top of it. Stamp, heat emboss and die cut the leaves using HCPC 3545 Open Leaf PreCut Set, distress embossing powder and HCD 736 Classic Leaf die. Then using the HCD 747 Arianna Lace die cut the lace star point (x 1) and the swirls (x 3). Apply the iridescent crackle paint to the lace star point and swirls. When they are dry, apply the Stickles glitter glue.

Then begin layering and gluing your embellishments onto the book cover. Add foam dots at the back of the large sunflowers to make them rise above the rest of the flowers. Place the small daisies under and around the largest sunflowers to cover the foam dots and any imperfections. Note you only see the very tips of the daisies peeking out under the sunflower. Make sure that the elastic closing falls free of any flowers and swirls, so there will not be any hindrance to the opening and closing of the note book. Otherwise you will have glue them down flat.

Finish the book edges by applying Viva Gold cream around all the edges and a dab or two on the sunflowers flowers.

I hope you all have a great, inspiring, fun, inky, scrappy day

Till next post scrappy hugs, Sussipoppins
