Two days ago was our card making day here in the Netherlands, so my post today had to be a card.
This card sure was a delight to make.
Because the placement of writing on the tabs and the butterflies, this makes it possible to have the card standing or laying, as above. This would be determent by the way you write your message on the inside of the card.
Stamps from Heartfelt Creations are used to make the 3 roses. All three rose's are different sizes. Stamp and cut x 6 for each rose. I first stamped on white paper then sprayed with Glimmer Mist to give them the fantastic soft orange/apricot color.
It is a shame you can not see it in the photo's, but the roses have a gold shimmer to them, which is what makes glimmer mist so great.
There is so much more of this yummy sort of mists on the market now, but I need to use up the stash I already have...
(I think we all have a bit of this luxury problem?)..haha..
The stamp used is from the BOTANICAL FLORAL 2 HCPC3407
Love this stamp set!
Love this stamp set!
Spellbinders, Do'Hickies and Joy dies.
These have been used to make all the leaves and swirls to compliment and frame the roses.
Embossing these butterflies on the back ground gives the card something extra.
The stitching was well worth the effort of stitching by hand.
Tucking a few gold flower stamens here and there under the rose's. Not to forget also a few dots of gold stickles, this allows a bit of interest to the arrangement.
Love the tabs. Placed while making the card, later when the card is finished, write something. This makes life so easy.....love easy....
One could really personalize the card, by writing the persons name on the tabs that you intend on giving it to.
Close up of the smaller rose's. All the rose's are finished with a few dabs of gesso, this gives the card a shabby look.
Which of course is what I like......I think this card has already found it's home.
I'm going to send it to my self. It is always nice to get a card in the post.
I hope you all had a great, inspiring, fun, inky, scrappy card day on the 3rd, and are ready to take the new week on.
Till next post scrappy hugs, Sussipoppins
